Mr.M.Rajendiran, Additional Government Pleader Order This Writ Petition has been filed by the petitioner to direct the Respondent 4 to 7 to consider and process the Application dated 25.01.2021 for obtaining the benefits under DR.MUTTULAKSHMI REDDY NINAIVU INTER CASTE MARRIAGE ASSISTANT SCHEME.

2. Case of the petitioner is that she got married on 04.07.2019 at Periyapalayathu Amman Community Welfare Hall, Tirusulam, and registered their marriage with the Marriage Registrar, Pallavaram, on 22.08.2019. Out of the wedlock, they blessed with a female baby on 04.04.2020. As the petitioner's marriage is an Inter-Caste one, she applied before the concerned authority to get benefits under Dr.Muttulakshmi Reddy Ninaivu Inter caste Marriage Assistance Scheme. However, the officials refused to register the petitioner's application, since the petitioner has not produced the community certificate of her husband. It is the contention of the petitioner that since her husband belong to ''Hindu Brahmin Community'', no Community Certificate is being issued by the Government and therefore, she was not able to produce the same.

Thereafter, the petitioner obtained manual application and sent to the office of the Thasildhar, Pallavaram on 25.01.2021. However, the said application was not processed. The petitioner also sent series of detailed representations to the office of the District Collector, Chegalpattu, the Tahsildhar, Pallavaram, as well as the Public Grievance Cell of Chief Minister's Office, to process her application dated 25.01.2021. Since, the authorities miserably failed to act upon her representations, the petitioner is before this Court.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that it would suffice, if the respondents are directed to process the application dated 25.01.2021 and dispose of the same in accordance with the above said Scheme, within a specified period.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the respondents has no objection for such an order being passed by this Court.

5. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and learned counsel appearing for the respondents.

6. In view of the limited request made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondents 4 to 7 to consider the application of the petitioner dated 25.01.2021 and pass appropriate orders on the same in accordance with Dr.Muttulakshmi Reddy Ninaivu Inter Caste Marriage Assistant Scheme, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
