Respondents Prayer:- Habeas Corpus Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of habeas corpus directing the 1st and 2nd respondents to produce petitioner's lover namely Reshika Varshini, who is aged about 21 years before this Court and set her at liberty.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by A.D.JAGADISH CHANDIRA, J.,] (1) The present petition is filed by the petitioner, who is said to be the lover of the detenue Reshika Varshini, aged about 21 years, who is said to be in the illegal custody of her father/3rd respondent herein. (2) Mr.R.Muniappa Raj, learned Additional Public Prosecutor takes notice on behalf of respondents 1 and 2.

(3) When the matter is taken up today, the alleged detenue Reshika Varshini is produced before us by the respondent police. (4) On enquiry, the detenue stated that her date of birth is 15.09.2002 and that she is doing her M.A [English], 1st year in Vaigai Arts and Science Women's College, Salem District. She has also stated her willingness to go along with her father, the 3rd respondent herein who is present in Court today.

(5) Mr.Tamilselvan, father of the detenue, is also ready and willing to his daughter back home.

(6) Recording the statements of the detenue and the 3rd respondent, this Habeas Corpus Petition is closed as no further orders are necessary. [ADJCJ] [CSNJ] 04.05.2023 AP Internet : Yes To 1.The Superintendent of Police O/o.The Superintendent of Police Salem,Salem District.
