It appears that the petitioner has filed an appeal before the respondent on 15.06.2018 against the order of dismissal owing to his conviction in a Criminal Case but the same is yet to be disposed of and hence, the petitioner has come forward to file this writ petition seeking for a Mandamus to direct the respondents to pass orders on the petitioner's appeal dated 15.06.2018 pending before the respondent. 2.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that in view of nature of relief sought for, the respondents be directed to dispose of the appeal in accordance with law within a stipulated period of time, without seeking any reply affidavit.

Mr.P.R.Dhilip Kumar, learned standing counsel appearing for respondent submit that if such appeal is pending, the same shall be considered within a stipulated period and in accordance with law.

Regard being had to the facts and circumstances of this case, this Court dispose of this writ petition at the stage of admission without seeking any reply affidavit, with a direction to the respondent to dispose of the appeal within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. However, it is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of such appeal in any particular manner. No costs.
