PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, to direct the second respondent to investigate in the matter and to file a final report in Crime No.376 of 2017, pending on the file of the second respondent, within the stipulated time as this Court.

O R D E R

This petition has been filed by the mother of the deceased to direct the second respondent police to expedite the investigation and to file a Final Report at the earliest in Crime No.376/2017.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner's son Vinoth Kumar died on 03.10.2017 under suspicious circumstances and hence the petitioner's husband has lodged a complaint before the second respondent on 04.10.2017. Based on the said complaint, the second respondent has registered a case in Crime No.376 of 2017 under Section 174 of Cr.P.C., and thereafter no steps being taken by the second respondent and hence he requests to direct the second https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

respondent to complete the investigation and to file a final report at the earliest.

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor has submitted that the internal organs were sent to the Forensic Laboratory and report not yet received from Forensic Laboratory. She further submitted that after receipt of the report from the Forensic Laboratory, the investigation would be completed and final report will be filed within a short period. 4.Considering the aforesaid submissions, the second respondent is directed to address the Forensic Laboratory and get report at the earliest and complete the investigation and file a final report within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the aforesaid directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
