ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed under section 482 of Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 praying to direct the Special Court for Prevention of Corruption Act Cases, Salem to dispose of the case in Spl.C.C.No.57 of 2014 as early as possible.
2. It is averred in the petition that the petitioner has been arrayed as sole accused in Special Calendar Case No.57 of 2014 pending on the file of Special Court for Prevention of Corruption Act Cases, Salem. Further it is stated in the petition that on the side of prosecution, some witnesses have been examined and since the matter is pending for a long time, necessary direction may be given.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has reiterated the averments made in the petition.
4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor has represented that on the side of the prosecution, totally 24 witnesses have to be examined and out of 24 witnesses, 4 witnesses have been examined in full.

5. Considering the representation made on the side of the respondent, it is seen that Special Calendar Case No.57 of 2014 is in the stage of part-heard.
6. Considering the stage of Special Calendar Case No.57 of 2014, the following direction can be given for speedy disposal of the same:
In fine, this Criminal Original Petition is allowed. The Special Court for Prevention of Corruption Act cases, Salem is directed to dispose of Special Calendar Case No.57 of 2014 before the end of January, 2016 and report the same to the Registry without fail. ajr Sd/- Assistant Registrar /True Copy/ Sub-Assistant Registrar To
