Respondent Prayer: This Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. to direct the respondent herein, viz., the Inspector of Police, Central Crime Branch, Chennai District to complete the investigation and file a final report in Crime No.484 of 2018 for the offences under sections 420, 465, 467, 468, 471, 120[B] of IPC before the concerned Court within the time stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent police to file a final report before the competent court of law in Crime No.484 of 2018 pending on the file of the respondent.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that though the respondent has registered a case in the Crime No.484 of 2018 on 19.11.2018, no final report is filed till date.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) appearing for the respondent would submit that the investigation is in progress and respondent police may be permitted to file a final report within a period of four months.

4. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (crl.side) appearing for the respondent.

5. In view of the above, the respondent police is directed to either file a final report or closure report, as the case may be, within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order under due intimation to the defacto complainant.

6. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
