Respondents Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 07.01.2015 which has been forwarded by the second respondent dated 08.01.2015 and pass orders within a stipulated time as fixed by this Hon'ble Court.

ORDER

The petitioner was appointed as Draftsman in the year 1987. But the second respondent, after taking nine years, regularised his services with effect from 30.11.87 by the order dated 3.7.96, for no fault on the part of the petitioner. In that process, when the seniority list was taken on the bass of the regularised candidates, he lost several avenues of promotion. Now the petitioner is much senior to several other juniors. To rectify the same, he has also given a representation on 7.1.2015 with a request to re-fix his seniority with effect from 30.10.1994 and the second respondent has also given his comments. But the first respondent, till date, has not passed any orders. Therefore, a direction may be issued, he pleaded.

2. The learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents sought for four weeks time to consider the pending representation of the petitioner.

Placing on record the request made by the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents, the first respondent is hereby directed to consider the pending representation of the petitioner on merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
