This case is taken up for settlement before the National Lok Adalat. Mr.M.B.Raghavan, learned counsel for the Appellant is present and Mr.P.M.Jayachandran, learned counsel for the Respondent are present before this Court.

TERMS OF SETTLEMENT This Civil Miscellaneous Appeal had been filed by the Appellant/Insurance Company challenging the award of the Tribunal granting a sum of Rs.18,91,960/- (Rupees Eighteen Lakhs Ninety One Thousand and Nine Hundred and Sixty only) together with interest at 7.5% per annum for injuries suffered by the respondent/claimant. 2.Today, parties have agreed for full and final settlement at Rs.14,38,360/- (Rupees Fourteen Lakhs Thirty Eight Thousand Three Hundred and Sixty only) together with interest at 7.5% from the date of filing of the MCOP. It is also brought to our notice that the Insurance Company has already deposited 50% of the amount. It was agreed that the Respondent/Claimant is entitled to receive the sum of Rs.14,38,360/- (Rupees Fourteen Lakhs Thirty Eight Thousand Three Hundred and Sixty only) together with interest at 7.5% from the date of filing of the MCOP.

3. The Appellant/Insurance Company is directed to deposit the balance amount payable within a period of 8 weeks from today. 4.The Tribunal is directed to transfer the amount through RTGS/NEFT to the 1st respondent/claimant's bank account on proper identification, in accordance with the terms of the award, without insisting on any formal petition. The Civil Miscellaneous Appeal is disposed of accordingly.
