COMMON ORDER These Criminal Original Petitions are filed, seeking registration of case, based on the complaints given by the petitioners, dated 13.08.2014.

2. It is submitted by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, representing the respondent-Police that the complaints were given to the Commissioner of Police, Chennai, and the proper investigating officer is the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Central Crime Branch, Chennai. The Additional Public Prosecutor, therefore, submitted that the petitioners may be directed to give fresh complaints to the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Central Crime Branch, Chennai, and on receipt of the same, proper enquiry would be conducted by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, and if any cognizable offence is made out, case will be registered.

3. Recording the above submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, these Criminal Original Petitions are disposed of, by directing the petitioners to give fresh complaints to the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Central Crime Branch, Chennai. As and when such complaints are being filed by the petitioners, the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Central Crime Branch, Chennai, is directed to conduct enquriy and if cognizable offence is made out, he shall register case and proceed further in accordance with law by following the principles laid down by the Hon'ble Apex Court in re Lalita Kumari vs. Govt. of U.P. & others, reported in [2013 (4) Crimes 243 (SC)] .
