Respondents Prayer: The Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 24.10.2013 and directing the first respondent to take appropriate action to provide Police Protection to the petitioner's son M.Nagaraj, son of Vasudevan and grandson N.Samuel son of M.Nagaraj to live peacefully from their home from the hands of Mr.Durai, Inspector of Police, R.1 Mambalam Police Station with other 10 police constables. The petitioner has come forward with the present writ petition seeking direction to the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 24.10.2013, to take appropriate action to provide police protection to the petitioner's son M.Nagaraj and grandson M.Samuel. 2 Heard Mr. Kingston Jerold, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr.V.Shanmugasundar, learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents and perused the records. 3 The case of the petitioner is that on 16.10.2013, the third respondent along with other 10 police constables had trespassed into the house of the petitioner to secure her son and grandson for an enquiry. When it was objected, she was threatened by the police. Hence, she submitted a representation to the first respondent on 24.10.2013. Since, no action was taken, the petitioner is before this Court by filing the present writ petition.

4 Mr.V.Shanmugasundar, learned Special Government Pleader on instructions submitted that the case in Cr.No.1329 of 2013 for an offence under Section 379 of IPC was registered, based on the complaint given by one Mr.Mahesh Kumar for theft of 5 kg of gold. A special team was formed to secure the accused and in the course of the investigation, the petitioner, son and grand son of the petitioner were examined and they did not cause any threatening to the petitioner and there is no reason for the respondent to harras the petitioner.

5 Recording the above submission of the learned Special Government Pleader, the writ petition is dismissed. No costs. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is also closed.
