ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondents to survey and demarcate the boundaries of the properties morefully described in the prayer to this writ petition and for issuance of separate patta in the name of the petitioners, based on the petitioners' representation dated 28.02.2026 within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2. The petitioners claim that they are the owners of the properties morefully described in the prayer to this writ petition. They have given a representation on 28.02.2026 to the official respondents, seeking to survey and demarcate the boundaries of the properties morefully described in the prayer to this writ petition and for issuance of separate patta in the name of the petitioners. Since the same has not been considered till date, the petitioners have filed this writ petition.

3. Mr. R. P. Murugan Raja, learned Government Advocate accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

4. This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioners' representation.

5. No prejudice will be caused to the respondents if the said authorities are directed to survey and demarcate the boundaries of the petitioners' properties, morefully described in the prayer to this writ petition, after hearing the objections if any from the neighbouring land owners as well as any other party whom the fourth respondent deems it fit to enquire and issue separate patta in the name of the petitioners, based on the representation dated 28.02.2026, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

6. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of in the following manner:- (a) Before surveying the lands in question, the fourth respondent is directed to issue notice to the neighbouring land owners if any, and also to any other party, whom the fourth respondent deems it fit to enquire;

(b) After receiving objections if any and after considering the same, the fourth respondent shall conduct

survey and demarcate the boundaries of the properties morefully described in the prayer to this writ petition, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order; c) If the petitioners are eligible for the issuance of separate patta in their name for the properties surveyed and demarcated by the fourth respondent, the fourth respondent shall also consider the application, seeking for issuance of patta for the property in favour of the petitioners on merits and in accordance with law and pass final orders within a period of eight weeks from the date when the survey and demarcation of boundaries is completed after hearing all the necessary parties.

No Costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is ordered subject to payment of separate Court fee.
