The present writ petition is filed seeking for a direction to the first respondent to grant renewal of Public Resort Licence under Chennai City Police Act, 1886, forthwith to the petitioner to conduct Indian Culture dance Programmes in the premises of Hotel Shurudhi Palace at Old No.79, New No.151, general Patters Road, Anna Salai, Chennai - 600 002.

2. Today, when the matter is taken up, it is submitted by the learned Special Government Pleader that the petitioner's request was already rejected by passing an order dated 24.10.2017 by the Commissioner of Police, Greater Chennai. Therefore, it is for the petitioner to challenge the said order in the manner known to law. Granting such liberty to the petitioner, this writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
