ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed under section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 praying to give necessary direction to the respondent to register the complaint alleged to have been given by the petitioner on 20.6.2014.

2. It is stated in the petition that the petitioner has given a complaint to the respondent on 20.06.2014 but the same has not been registered. Under the said circumstances, the present petition has been filed for getting the relief sought for therein.

3. On the side of the respondent, counter has been filed, wherein it is stated that no cognizable offence is made out in the complaint and therefore the same has not been registered.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has simply reiterated the averments made in the petition.

5. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, Puducherry has also based his arguments on the averments made in the counter.

6. The only defence taken on the side of the respondent is that no cognizable offence is made out in the complaint and therefore the same has not been registered.

7. Considering the contentions put forth on the side of the respondent and also considering the fact that the complaint is still pending, the respondent can be directed as indicated below: "The respondent is directed to give disposal of the complaint dated 20.06.2014"

8. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
