11.T.N.Janarthanan ..Respondent(s) PRAYER - This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to conduct enquiry and cancel the assignment of lands by The Assistant Commissioner (Land Reforms) Villupuram, in Survey Nos.15/3A1, 15/3A2A, 15/3A2B, 15/3A3A, 15/3A3B, Mathur Village, Madhavaram Taluk, Then Thiruvallur District, Presently Chennai District, in proceedings No.A4/ MR IV/ 322/ 70J dated 24.01.2013, by considering the representation dated 10.02.2025 within a time frame, as this Court.

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the 1st respondent to cancel the assignment of lands for the properties morefully disclosed in the affidavit filed in support of this Writ Petition, which is now standing in the name of the respondents 8 to 11. The petitioner had given a representation on 10.02.2025 to the official respondents for the aforesaid purpose. Since no final orders have been passed on the petitioner's representation, the petitioner has filed this Writ Petition.
2.Mr.D.Ravichander, learned Special Government Pleader, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 to 7.
3.As seen from the documents filed along with this Writ Petition, pursuant to the representation dated 10.02.2025, proceedings have been initiated by the 1st respondent, however, no final order has been passed by the 1st respondent.
4.No prejudice would be caused to the respondents if a direction is issued to the 1st respondent to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioner's representation after hearing the objections of the respondents 8 to 11 and any other third party whom the 1st respondent deem fit to enquire, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's representation. 5.For the foregoing reasons, this Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the 1st respondent to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioner's representation dated 10.02.
