Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, praying to direct the respondent to register the case against the complaint given by the petitioner to the first respondent on 22.09.2015 presently pending before the second respondent.

ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the second respondent to register the case based on the complaint given by the petitioner on 22.09.2015.

The petitioner is a widow, living with her mother-inlaw along with her two children and she is temporarily working in a private company. In the meantime, one Sarasu, who is doing chit fund business, introduced one Ramu to the petitioner. It appears that subsequently, there was some misunderstanding between Sarasu and Ramu. Having grievance against Ramu, the said sarasu has created false information about the petitioner and the said Ramu, by creating video clips and started to https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

threaten the petitioner. Hence, the petitioner lodged a complaint with the respondent police on 22.09.2015 and no action has been taken so far. Hence, this present petition has been filed by the petitioner.

I have heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as the learned Additional Public Prosecutor. 4.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the compliant was closed by the respondent police on the presumption, the said complaint already enquired into by the Inspector of Police, Arumbakkam Police Station.

5. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner denies the same.

In view of the submissions made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Court directs the respondent to conduct enquiry on the same and upon enquiry, if materials are gathered indicating commission of any cognizable offence, is directed to proceed further in accordance with law, as early as possible. 7.

With the above directions, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
