ORDER
(The case has been heard through video conference) The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 15.08.2020 for the offences punishable under Section 4(1) (aaa) r/w. 4(1-A) of Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act 188, 269 IPC Section 3 of Epidemic Act, in Crime No.415 of 2020, seeks bail. 2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner was illegally found in possession of 1200 bottles of TASMAC Brandy. The same was seized by the respondent police.
3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner was arrested on 15.08.2020 and he is in custody for a long time.
4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) would submit that the petitioner was illegally found in possession of 1200 bottles of TASMAC brandy. He would further submit that the petitioner was arrested very recently on 15.08.2020 and investigation is in preliminary stage. Hence, he vehemently opposes for the grant of https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
bail to the petitioner.
5.Taking into consideration of the fact that the petitioner was arrested very recently on 15.08.2020 and the investigation is in preliminary stage, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
