This petition is filed under Article 226 of The Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 10.07.2015 and to disburse the compensation amount towards the acquisition of the Plot Nos. 57, 68, 69 and 70 comprised in Survey Nos. 399/3B, 399/3C and 400/9 in Devi Nagar, Morai Village, Ambathur Taluk, Thiruvallur District. For Petitioner : Mr.P.Sesubalan Raja For Respondent : Mr.R.Lakshmi Narayanan.

ORDER

Heard Mr.P.Sesubalan Raja, the learned Counsel for the petitioner and Mr.R.Lakshmi Narayanan, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent and with the consent of either side, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage.

2. The petitioner has filed this writ petition to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 10.07.2015 and to disburse the compensation amount in respect of lands which have been acquired as mentioned in the prayer made in the writ petition.

3. As rightly pointed out by the learned Additional Government Pleader, the representation dated 10.07.2015 is bereft of particulars. In reply to such contention the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is not even aware as to under what notification the lands were acquired from the land owners and they came to know about the acquisition only when they went to the office of the SubRegistrar.

4. With the facts placed before this Court, no positive direction can be granted as sought for by the petitioner. However, since the petitioner claims that she is unaware about any acquisition proceedings or not even aware as to what is the extent of land acquired etc, the respondent is hereby directed to provide such information to the petitioner regarding the details of the acquisition and as to who are the land owners who were made parties to the acquisition proceedings.

5. This Court is inclined to issue such direction to the respondent since, there is a compliant made by the petitioner that even when the petitioner approached the competent authority under the Right to Information Act, the information sought for by the petitioner was not furnished. Therefore, the above direction shall be complied with by the respondent, within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above direction, the present writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
