ORDER

(This case has been heard through video conference) The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences punishable under Section 174 (3) of Cr.P.C @ 306 IPC in crime No.613 of 2020 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution as per the defacto complainant is that the defacto complainant's daughter got married one Prabakaran (A1) and there was a wordy quarrel between them. On 25.05.2020, the petitioner picked up a quarrel with the defacto complainant stating that she should not attend the function, as a result of which she committed suicide by hanging. Hence, the complaint.

3. The learned Counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an innocent person and the victim committed suicide due to quarrel and not due to demand of dowry. Hence, he prays for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the marriage had happened only two years prior to the occurrence and they got one child. He further submitted that the investigation is not yet completed and the RDO enquiry report is not yet filed. Hence, he opposed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case that the RDO enquiry is pending, this Court is not inclined to grant Anticipatory Bail to the petitioner.
