COMMON ORDER These Writ Petitions are filed for a Mandamus directing the respondents to take appropriate action on the petitioners' representations dated 26.12.2025 and 22.02.2021 respectively in accordance with law.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that lands belonging to petitioners' father along with other lands were acquired for the purpose of SIPCOT, Irungattukottai Scheme and a sum of Rs.3,000/- per cent was fixed as compensation vide settlement at the National Lok Adalat Decree dated 02.02.2021. The petitioners' fathers, having come to know about the same, sent a representation dated 24.02.2021 and 22.02.2021 to the respondents respectively requesting him to fix the compensation as per Section 18 of the Land Acquisition Act, as per the terms of the decree dated 02.02.2021. The
father of the writ petitioner in W.P.No.19754 of 2026 died on 29.04.2024 and thereafter, the petitioner sent representation dated 26.12.2025 to the 2nd respondent, but so far no action has been taken and hence, the petitioners have filed the instant writ petition.
3. In reply, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents would submit that the petitioners' representations dated 26.12.2025 and 22.02.2021 respectively will be disposed of by the 1st respondent within a period of four weeks.
4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Government Advocate for the respondents and also perused the materials available on record.
5. In view of the above, this Court directs the 1st respondent to consider the petitioners representations dated 26.12.2025 and 22.02.2021 respectively on its own merits and dispose of the same in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
6. With the above directions, these writ petitions are disposed of. No costs.
