ORDER

This Civil Revision Petition has been filed to strike off the domestic violence proceedings, initiated by wife, in D.V.C.No.35 of 2024, on the file of Additional Mahila Court, Egmore, Chennai.

2. Petitioners are husband and mother-in-law of the respondent. First petitioner and respondent were married on 01.09.2022. It is the specific case of the respondent that even within a period of three months after the respondent got conceived, there were demands for dowry and the respondent was forcibly sent out of the matrimonial home.

3. I find these allegations have been made earlier even in H.M.O.P. and it is not as if they have been made in domestic violence, for the first time. Therefore, I do not find any impropriety in the domestic violence case being entertained by the Court below. In fact, the Magistrate has removed the name of the father of the petitioner, by applying his mind and consciously chosen to retain the revision petitioner's alone as respondents in the complaint. I do not find any ground to strike off the domestic violence proceedings impugned in the present case. It is brought to my notice that, the respondent has been in the habit of writing complaints/letters to National Medical Commission, Tamil Nadu Medical Council and Dr.MGR Educational & Research University, making scathing allegations against the first petitioner, which have been produced before this Court by the learned counsel for the petitioners.

4. On being put on notice, learned counsel for the respondent states that, he would advise his client - respondent to withdraw the said

complaints, that have been addressed to National Medical Commission, Tamil Nadu Medical Council and Dr.MGR Educational & Research University.

5. The respondent shall agitate and ventilate all her grievances before the Courts of law and not indulge in such mudslinging to bring down the reputation of the first petitioner and his family.

6. Accordingly, this Civil Revision Petition is dismissed. The Court below shall dispose of the proceedings in D.V.C.No.35 of 2024 within a period of six months from the date of receipt of copy of this order. It shall also not insist on physical presence of the petitioners for all the hearings, except where it is absolutely necessary. No costs. Consequently, the connected C.M.P.Nos.12737 and 12738 of 2025 are closed. 01.08.2025 NCC :
