ORDER

This petition is filed for a direction to the respondents to register FIR against the named person on the basis of the complaint lodged by the petitioner on 06.10.2015. 2.The petitioner is working as Manager at Vellimani Polymers Company, Rayakkavalasu, Molasi Village, Tiruchengode Taluk, Namakkal District and he decided to stay at Molasi Village along with his family. In this connection, he approached the Revenue Inspector for transferring his family ration card and also for inclusion of his name and the name of his family members in the voter's list but the said Revenue Inspector asked the petitioner to come on 06.10.2015 and accordingly on 06.10.2015 the petitioner went to the Revenue Inspector's office and the said Revenue Inspector after shouting at the public including the

petitioner and instructed them not to assemble in the front of the office. But the petitioner represented that he came there for submitting the petition to transfer his family card. But the Revenue Inspector enquired the petitioner in respect of his cast and the petitioner informed the Revenue Inspector that he hails from Scheduled Caste community and the Revenue Inspector used his caste name and shouted at him. Further, the Revenue Inspector slapped the petitioner. Hence, the petitioner preferred a complaint on 06.10.2015, but it has not yet been registered. Hence, this petition.

3.I have heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as the learned Additional Public Prosecutor. 4.In view of the submissions made on either side, this Court is of the opinion that it is appropriate to direct the second respondent to conduct enquiry on the complaint dated 06.10.2015 given by the petitioner and upon enquiry, if materials are gathered indicating commission of any cognizable offence, is directed to proceed further in accordance with law, as early as possible.

5.With the above directions, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
