Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent herein to consider the petitioner's representation dated 09.09.2016 seeking demarcation of his property situated at No.6, Mamandur Village, Madurantakam Taluk, Kancheepuram District comprised in Survey No.672/15 admeasuring to an extent of Acre 0.12 cents.

Mr.S.Navaneethan, learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondent. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner seeks for a Mandamus directing the respondent to consider his representation dated 09.09.2016 wherein and whereby he sought for demarcation of the property situated at No.6, Mamandur Village, Madurantakam Taluk, Kancheepuram District.

3. The grievance of the petitioner is that the said representation has not been disposed of so far. Therefore, this Court, without expressing any view on the merits of the matter, dispose this writ petition, only with a direction to the respondent to consider the said representation of the petitioner and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, after giving due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as to the rival claimants, if any. Such exercise shall be done by the respondent within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
