The present criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the second respondent to provide adequate police protection to the safety and security of the petitioner on the basis of her complaint dated 30.09.2015.

2. The petitioner was married to one Saminathan during March 1992. The petitioner's husband has developed illegal intimacy with one Mrs.Saroja, who is the mother of one Mr.Kumar. The petitioner's husband was owning three properties. Out of the three properties, two properties were transferred to the name of the said Kumar. The said Kumar is also making attempts to get the tile in respect of the third property. Hence the petitioner strongly objected to it. On 25.09.2015, at 11.30 a.m., the said Kumar trespassed in to the petitioner's house and threatened the petitioner with dire consequences. After intervention of the neighbours, the said Kumar fled from the place. The said Kumar is a highly influential person. Since there is a life threat to the petitioner, the petitioner has come forward with the present https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

petition to provide adequate police protection to the safety and security of the petitioner.

3. When the matter was taken up, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor has submitted that enquiry was conducted on the complaint given by the petitioner and after enquiry, the complaint given by the petitioner has been closed and also produced a copy of the closure report.

4. In view of the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor as well as on going through the closure report, I am of the opinion that it is not a fit case for providing police protection and the Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
