Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of certiorarified Mandamus to call for the records of the Respondents, especially the 1st respondent relating to his proceedings made in G.O (D) No.547 Home (Police III) Department dated 16.07.2013 and quash the same as null and void and directing the respondents to issue paper order for one time promotion, promoting the petitioner as Sub Inspector of Police with effect from 27.02.2001, the date of acknowledging all aspects as a member of a 14 members City Special Team constituted by the 3rd respondent on 14.03.1998 for Accelerated Promotion by the 3rd respondent, disbursing to him the monetary benefits accrued from 27.02.2001, besides revising the last drawn scale of pay according to the said rate of scale of pay and fixing the pensionary benefits accordingly apart from disbursing the difference in the arrears of pension from May 2013.

It is stated by the Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner that the writ petitioner viz., K.Rudhramoorthy, died since long. No one of his legal heirs have come forward to file substitute petition to substitute them in the place of deceased petitioner.

In such view of the matter, the writ petition stands dismissed as abated. No costs.
