Mr.Vadivelu Deenadayalan Additional Government Pleader for R1 to R3 COMMON ORDER (Order of the Court was made by S.M.Subramaniam J.) Admittedly, the land was acquired by the Government for agricultural purposes and the compensation has been received by the land owner. Thus the land absolutely vest with the Government under the provisions of the Land Acquisition Act. Thus, there is no impediment for the respondents to take possession of the land and utilise the same for public purposes. 2.

As far as the claim of the petitioner/appellant that he is eligible for alternate land / resettlement is to be considered on merits during the final hearing of the present writ appeal.
