The petitioner has come up with this Writ Petition seeking a direction to the 2nd respondent to consider his Patta Transfer application dated 10.01.2017 with respect to issuance of patta to him for his land comprised in Survey No.162/2 to the extent of 3.22 1⁄2 cents situated at Vadapuzhuthiyur Village, Thiruvannamalai Taluk and District based upon his sale deed, dated 21.04.2010 and remitted copy of the challan. 2.

According to the petitioner, he purchased the land in Survey No.162/2 to the extent of 3.22 1⁄2 cents on 21.04.2010 from the legal heirs of one Krishnamoorthy Iyer and since then, he is paying tax to the Revenue authority till date, without fail. He approached the 2nd respondent and requested him to issue patta for the said land and made an application on 07.07.2014 in that https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

regard. Since no reply was forthcoming from the 2nd respondent, the petitioner made a representation to the 2nd respondent on 20.12.2016 along with a copy of the Sale Deed. Thereafter, on 10.01.2017, the petitioner again made an application for patta transfer to the 2nd respondent along with a remitted copy of the challan. Since the 2nd respondent failed to issue patta to his land despite several requests, the petitioner is before this Court.

Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the material documents available on record.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the 2nd respondent herein to consider the petitioner's patta Transfer application dated 10.01.2017 on merits and in accordance with law, and pass necessary orders preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

This Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
