ORDER

(This case has been heard through video conference) This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking for a direction, directing the respondent police to complete the investigation and file the final report in Crime No.43 of 2021 on the file of the Inspector of Police, CCB team-I, Vepery, Chennai District within the time stipulated by this Court.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that though the respondent police has registered a case in Crime No.43 of 2021 for the offence punishable u/s.419, 465, 468, 471 r/w 34 IPC, till date no final report has been filed by them. Accordingly seeks for an appropriate direction. 3.Mr.A.Damodaran, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent Police would submit that the respondent police may be permitted to file a final report within a period of six months.

4.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side).

5. In view of the above, the respondent police is hereby directed to either file a final report or closure report, as the case may be, within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order under due intimation to the defacto complainant.

6.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
