O R D E R

The present criminal original petition has been filed to direct the second respondent to register FIR based on the complaint of the petitioner dated 09.12.2014 and proceed with investigation in accordance with law.

2. The petitioner's brother's wife Sumathi committed suicide on 16.11.2014. The second respondent is enquiring the matter by registering the case. While so, the petitioner's maternal uncle's son Chinnaiyer and said Sumathi's younger brother Periyannan and her maternal uncle namely Mariappan induced the petitioner's brother children to give statement as if the petitioner's father is the cause for the death of the said Sumathi. But, on the date of occurrence the said Periyannan and Mariappan attacked the petitioner and his father and they were treated in the hospital for the injuries sustained by them. In this regard, the petitioner lodged a complaint with the second respondent. But no action was taken on the said complaint till date. 3. I have heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

4. In view of the submissions made on either side, this Court directs the respondent to conduct enquiry on the complaint given by the petitioner dated 09.12.2014 and upon enquiry, if materials are gathered indicating commission of any cognizable offence, he is directed to proceed further in accordance with law, as early as possible.
