The present petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to register a case on the petitioner's complaint dated 24.09.2015.

2. It has been stated in the petition that the petitioner got married to one Pannerselvam on 26.01.2014 and at the time of marriage, 35 sovereign of gold was given by her parents. But, the said Pannerselvam sold all the gold within three months and demanded further dowry and put the petitioner to physical and mental torture. Hence, the petitioner lodged a complaint before the respondent police on 24.09.2015. Since, there is no progress in the case, left with no other alternative, the petitioner came forward to file this petition. 3.Today, when the matter is taken up for consideration, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that C.S.R.No.897 of 2015 was assigned to the complaint given by the petitioner and since it is a matrimonial dispute, the same was referred to https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

District Social Welfare Officer and the respondent is awaiting the report from them and once the report is received, the respondent will proceed further in accordance with law.

4. In view of the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, I am of the opinion that there is no need to give any specific direction to the respondent. Hence, Recording the submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this criminal original petition is closed.
