O R D E R

The relief sought for in the Writ Petition is for a direction to the respondent to take action on the petitioner's complaint dated 06.08.2013 in Crime No.1342 of 2013 on the file of the Inspector of Police, V1, Police Station, Villivakkam, Chennai.

2. Once the complaint is registered, then it is the duty of the Investigating Officer to proceed with the case in accordance with the provisions of the Criminal Procedure Code. In the present case on hand, admittedly the complaint submitted by the writ petitioner has already been registered in Crime No.1342 of 2013. need not consider the prayer seeking a direction to the respondent to take action on the petitioner's complaint. In fact, the petitioner himself confused with the prayer and by stating that a direction to take action to be issued in respect of the Crime registered in Crime No.1342 of 2013.

3. In this view of the matter, the 2nd respondent is at liberty to proceed with the matter in accordance with law. The relief sought for in this writ petition cannot be granted. Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
