Respondents Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issue of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the candidature of the petitioner under the ward quota for the appointment to the post of Sub Inspector of Police (Women) for the year 2015 based on the ward certificate obtained by the petitioner.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble Chief Justice) The petitioner has applied in the open category as candidate and having failed the Physical Endurance Test, now seeks to raise the issue that she should be treated under Wards Quota (candidates related to the existing service people).

2. Since the petitioner never applied in that capacity, there can be no question now entertaining the said request, especially when there is a categorical mark "No" mentioned in the Question whether candidate was applying under Wards Quota.

3. We are not inclined to entertain the writ petition and the same is dismissed. No costs. Consequently, M.P.No.1 of 2015 is closed.
