By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal. The petitioner claims to be a resident of Valaiyapattu Village, Vaniyambadi Taluk, Vellore District. He submitted a representation to the respondent on 12.05.2016 seeking permission to conduct the cultural programme on 09.06.2016 which includes song and dance programme in connection with the temple festival of "Shri Kaliamman Temple" situate at D.No. 2/24, Old Street, Valaiyapattu village and Post, Vaniyambaid Taluk, Vellore District and since, he has not been favoured with any kind of response, came forward to file this writ petition. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, on instructions, would submit that in the event of permission being granted to conduct the song and dance programme, there will not be any law, order or communal problem and no vulgarity or obscenity will be there and hence, prays for appropriate orders. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

This Court heard the submissions of Mr.R.Govindasamy, learned Special Government Pleader, who accepts notice for the respondent.

This Court, taking into consideration the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the application/representation, directs the respondent to consider the application/representation dated 12.05.2016, in accordance with law and pass orders on or before 07.06.2016 and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner forthwith.
