This writ petition has been filed for direction to the respondents especially the 3rd respondent herein, to HDFC Bank Ltd., Kottivakkam Branch, Chennai to forthwith remove the hold on and restore full operational access to the Savings Bank Account of the petitioner bearing Account No.50100034446060 IFSC Code HDFC0000500.

The petitioner is holding an account No.50100034446060 with the third respondent. On the request made by the second respondent, the third respondent froze the said account of the petitioner and she was not permitted to operate the account as per the request made by the second respondent. Thereafter, as per the request of the second
respondent, the third respondent made lien over the petitioner's account to the tune of Rs.1,40,918/-. Apart from the said amount, the petitioner is now permitted to operate his account. Therefore, only on the request of the second respondent on receipt of a complaint, the third respondent marked lien over the petitioner's account to the tune of Rs.1,40,918/-. Now investigation is still pending. However, the petitioner is now permitted by the third respondent to operate the aforementioned account by holding a sum of Rs.1,40,918/-. As such, the prayer sought for in this writ petition to restore full operational access cannot be granted. 3.
With the above observation, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
