Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C. praying to direct the second respondent Police to register the FIR based on the complaint given by the petitioner against one her husband Moulana, her Mother-in-law Mrs.Mumala, Sister-in-law Dowlath and one Mr.Jaheer based on the complaint dated 07.06.2018 given by the petitioner to the second respondent police in C.S.R.No.151 of 2018 pending on the file of the Inspector of Police, All Women Police Station, Washermanpet, Chennai District.

O R D E R

This petition has been filed to direct the second respondent to register a case based on the complaint given by the petitioner dated 07.06.2018.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner has married one Moulana on 19.02.2018 and subsequently her husband and her in-laws have caused cruelty by demanding dowry and hence, the petitioner has lodged a complaint https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

before the second respondent on 07.06.2018, but, so far no action has been taken.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor has submitted that after receipt of the complaint C.S.R No.151 of 2018 dated 07.06.2018 has been issued and the said complaint is still pending for enquiry.

4. Considering the aforesaid submissions, the second respondent is directed to expedite the enquiry and if the enquiry reveals any cognizable offence, then he has to register the case and proceed in accordance with law.

5. With aforesaid directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
