Respondents Prayer : Contempt Petition under Section 11 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 to punish the first to third respondents for having disobedience of the order passed by the Hon'ble High Court in W.P.No.34191 of 2019 dated 25.01.2023.

ORDER

(Delivered by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) We heard Mr.A.Sasikumar, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.P.Muthukumar, learned State Government Pleader for the respondents.

2. On the last date also, learned State Government Pleader made a submission that as per the direction of this Court, survey was conducted and the lands were found to be patta lands. The lands were not Government lands.

3. The direction of this Court was to conduct the survey within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the order. It is contended that the survey was conducted within eight weeks. In view of that, it would not be a case of contempt. If the petitioner or any such person is aggrieved by the survey report, then it is for the aggrieved party to assail the survey report, in accordance with law.

4. With these observations, the contempt petition is disposed of.
