Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to consider the claim of the petitioner with regard to transfer of patta for land properties comprised in old survey No.167/7, new survey No.167/7A in 0.08.25 cents in square feet 3597 located at aaroorpatty Village, Omalur Taluk, Salem District within the stipulated time fixed by this Court. ORDER

The petitioner claims that he is the owner of the properties in old survey No.167/7, new survey No.167/7A measuring about 0.08.25 cents in Aaroorpatty Village, Omalur Taluk, Salem District. He claims that he had purchased the property by way of a Sale Deed on 21.10.2019 registered as Doc.No.5649/2019. He had applied for issuance of patta by following due procedure, through online on 29.10.2019 and again https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

on 22.02.2021, he had also given a representation on 07.04.2021. He claims that the respondents had not taken any action either on the application filed or on the representation given by him. 2.The 3rd respondent / Tahsildar, Omalur Taluk, may enquire the petitioner and also the 4th respondent, N.Gomathy and also the vendor of the petitioner namely, Kandan and thereafter, also examine the relevant records and take a decision whether to grant patta or not. At any rate, the entire exercise must be completed by the 3rd respondent, Tahsildar, Omalur Taluk, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3.With the above observations, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
