By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.
The petitioner claims to be one of the Committee Members of the Temple Festival of Sri Gangaiyamman Temple, situate at Kanthaneri Village, Anaicut Taluk, Vellore District. He submitted a representation/application dated 27.05.2016 to the respondent, seeking permission to conduct a cultural program on 14.06.2016, in connection with the temple festival, which includes song and dance programme and since, he has not been favoured with any kind of response, came forward to file this writ petition.
Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, on instructions, would submit that in the event of permission being granted to conduct the song and dance programme, there will not be any law, order or communal problem and no vulgarity or obscenity will be there and hence, prays for appropriate orders. This Court heard the submissions of Mr.R.Vijayakumar, learned Additional Government Pleader, who accepts notice for the respondent.

This Court, taking into consideration the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the application/representation, directs the respondent to consider the application/representation dated 27.05.2016, in accordance with law and pass orders on or before 12.06.2016 and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner forthwith.
The writ petition is disposed of, accordingly. No costs.
