ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed seeking for a direction to the respondent to grant Auto Rickshaw permit to the petitioner to operate the vehicle within the radius of 30 kms distance from Mettur Bus Stand, Mettur, Salem district, based on the petitioner's application, dated 25.02.2026, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2. The petitioner seek Auto Rickshaw permit. The petitioner had submitted an application on 25.02.2026 in Form CCPA for the said purpose with the respondent. Since the said application has not been considered, the petitioner has filed this Writ Petition.

3. Mr.N.Naveen Kumar, learned Government Advocate accepts notice on behalf of the respondent.

4. No prejudice will be caused to the respondent if the petitioner's application, dated 25.02.2026, as stated supra, is considered on merits and in accordance with law, after giving due consideration to the supporting documents produced by the petitioner, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

5. This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's application.

For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the respondent to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioner's application, dated 25.02.2026 seeking grant of Auto Rickshaw permit in his favour to operate the vehicle within the radius of 30 kms from Mettur Bus Stand, Mettur, Salem district, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. This Writ Petition is disposed with the above directions. No costs.
