Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to call for the records pertaining to the impugned order dated 03.05.2018 passed by the respondent and quash the same and consequently direct the respondent to forbear from interfering with the peaceful possession of the property situated at New No.259, Old No.135A, Avvai Shanmugam Salai, Gopalapuram, Chennai till 31.10.2018 as per the order passed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in S.L.P.(C)No(s).33856 of 2017 dated 11.12.2017.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned Standing Counsel for the Corporation. 2.By mutual consent of both sides, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 3.The Writ Petition is encompassed in a very narrow sphere. The writ petitioner already faced rent control proceedings which went up to the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India and finally, the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

writ petitioner under took before the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India that he would vacate the petition premises on or before 31.10.2018.

4.Though he claimed that he is not doing any business, the respondent has issued impugned notice, directing the petitioner to obtain a licence for running Auto Mobile Workshop. According to the petitioner, he was earlier doing that business, but now, he is utilizing the place to inform his customer about the new address of his Auto Mobile Workshop. In view of the above said facts, the petitioner is directed to vacate the premises by 31.10.2018.

5.The Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction and till 31.10.2018, it may not be proper on the part of the respondent to insist on any licence, particularly, since according to the petitioner, he is not carrying on any business. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
