The prayer sought herein is to permit the learned Administrator General and Official Trustee (AG & OT) to donate a sum of Rs.2,30,000/- (Rupees Two Lakh and Thirty Thousand Only) in two parts (50% payment before commencement and 50% payment after completion of painting works) for carrying out painting works at Seva Chakkara Children's Home (Girls) at No.89/41 and 91/42-1, Sami Pillai Street, Chennai - 600 112, from the accumulated funds that corresponds to the Financial Year 2020-21 belonging to the Trust Estate of V.Thiruvengadathan Chetty and to donate the same to Seva Chakkara Samajam.

2. A report has been submitted in support of this application by the learned AG & OT. Relying upon this, the learned AG & OT would submit that, the Seva Chakkara Samajam is conducting a NGO at No.89/41 and 91/42-1 called the Seva Chakkara Children's Home (Girls) at Sami Pillai Street, Chennai - 600 112. The learned AG & OT has pointed out that, the Children's Home building, in every five years, is being maintained by painting the building and for the aforesaid purpose, in the year 2020, a sum of Rs.2.14 lakhs

has been released from the Jamuna Bai Trust. This year, since five years have gone from the date of the earlier renovation/painting of the Children's Home, the organizers have sought funds of Rs.2.30 lakhs for whitewashing and painting as well as repair. The learned AG & OT would submit that, the V.Thiruvengadathan Chetty Trust is having excess funds, from which, such donation could be given to the Children's Home this time.

Having considered the said report submitted by the learned AG & OT and after having regard to the earlier releasing of funds of Rs.2.14 lakhs in the year 2020 for similar purpose, since then, already five years have gone, this Court is inclined to pass the following orders:- (i) A sum of Rs.2.30 lakhs is released from V.Thiruvengadathan Trust to the said Seva Chakkara Children's Home (Girls) at No.89/41 and 91/42-1, Sami Pillai Street, Chennai - 600 112 and the necessary rendition of account from the Seva Chakkara Samajam be secured by the learned AG & OT to the satisfaction of the learned AG & OT and for keeping the same in the records.
