The petitioner herein is the wife. The respondent is the husband. The respondent-husband filed IDOP.No.21 of 2010 before the Family Court, Salem.

The petitioner resides at Vellore. Hence, she has filed this petition to transfer IDOP.No.21 of 2010 to Vellore. 3.

Heard both sides.

It is well settled in the matrimonial disputes that the convenience of wife is given preference in the matter of place of hearing. For the aforesaid reason, I am inclined to allow this petition.

In the result, the Transfer Civil Miscellaneous Petition is allowed by transferring the IDOP.No.21 of 2010 on the file of the Family Court Judge, Salem, to the District Court, Vellore. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
