Petitions filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issue of (i) W.P.No.27041/2014 - Writ of Certiorari to call for the records of the 1st respondent in the impugned notification No.GSR (E) 99 dated 19.2.2014 which introduces the Central Motor Vehicles (1st Amendment) Rules, 2014 and quash the same as illegal, arbitrary and ultra vires the provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988; and (ii) W.P.No.27042/2014 - Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to refrain from exercising their powers under
the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 to implement the impugned notification No.GSR (E) 99 dated 19.2.2014 issued by the 1st respondent. W.P.No.27042 of 2014 is actually for a consequential relief. 2.Registry to process the file for transfer and the fate of the proceedings before the Hon'ble Supreme Court would, in turn, determine the lis in W.P.No.27042 of 2014.
3.No further directions are, thus, required in W.P.No.27041 of 2014, while W.P.No.27042 of 2014, accordingly, stands disposed of. No costs.
