Respondents Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent herein to appoint the petitioner to the post of Sweeper under the control of the first respondent herein in the regular time scale of pay, with attendant, service and monetary benefits, pursuant to the interview held on 09.10.2020 by the first respondent herein, within a time-frame that may be stipulated by this Hon'ble Court.

O R D E R Mr. C.Kathiravan, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents 1 to 3 and Mr. VPR Ilamparuthi, learned counsel, takes notice for the fourth respondent. With the consent of all the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final hearing at the admission stage itself.
2. This writ petition is filed for issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent herein to appoint the petitioner to the post of Sweeper under the control of the first respondent in the regular time scale of pay, with attendant, service and monetary benefits, pursuant to the interview held on 09.10.2020 by the first respondent, within a time-frame that may be stipulated by this Court.
3. The petitioner seeks appointment to the post of Sweeper under the control of the first respondent. It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner attended interview pursuant to a call letter issued by the fifth respondent to the petitioner. Stating that the petitioner was not appointed to the post of Sweeper, the petitioner has come forward with the present writ petition.
4. The call letter asking the petitioner to attend the interview does not give any right to the petitioner for his appointment. Hence, no positive direction can be given to the respondents to recruit the petitioner to the post for which he was called upon to attend the interview by communication dated 29.09.2020. The petitioner has given some representation to an unknown politician. No representation was given to any of the respondents. Hence, this Court is inclined to dispose of this writ petition in the following lines:
The petitioner is permitted / directed to submit a representation to the first respondent with regard to his request for employment, within a period of two weeks from today. On such representation being made by the petitioner to the first respondent, the first respondent shall consider the representation of the petitioner and dispose of the same on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of submission of the representation.
5. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
