The suit had been filed seeking recovery of money on the basis of a Promissory Note executed by the respondent/defendant. The original of the said Promissory Note has been filed as Document No.1 along with the plaint. The defendant resides at Valasaravakkam, Chennai, which is just outside the jurisdiction of this Court, but the Promissory Note has been executed at Chennai, which is mentioned in the Promissory Note itself. It is also contended that the amount was transferred to the respondent/defendant from the Bank Account of the plaintiff maintained in Chennai.

Since substantial part of the cause of action has arisen within the jurisdiction of this Court and the only aspect is that the defendant is living just outside the jurisdiction of this Court, leave is granted.
