O R D E R

This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to register the petitioner's complaint dated 28.08.2015 and file a report within a period of four weeks.

2. The petitioner lodged a complaint against one Mathivanan alleging that his younger daughter Buvaneshwari's engagement ceremony was conducted with the said Mathivanan. The said engagement was not ended in marriage, due to the depraved acts of Mathivanan. Initially the said Mathivanan who was talking decently, later started showing his true character, while he was speaking to the petitioner's daughter over cell phone. Even after the resistance of the petitioner's daughter, the said Mathivanan threatened her that he will morph her engagement photos and post them in internet and also went to the extent of abusing the petitioner. Hence, the complaint was lodged on 20.08.2015 to the respondent police and no action was taken, the petitioner filed this petition.

3. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the petitioner himself has withdrawn the complaint on 30.08.2015 and a copy of the letter has been submitted.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that though the complaint was withdrawn, the said Mathivanan is still threatening the petitioner.

5. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that he would instruct the respondent police to look into the matter.

6. If the said Mathivanan threatens the petitioner, the petitioner is given liberty to approach the respondent.
