This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to grant special leave to the appellant to appeal from the judgment and order of acquittal dated 31.01.2024 passed by the learned Judicial Magistrate - III at Puducherry in S.T.C.No.402 of 2016.

2. Being satisfied with the reasons stated in the accompanying affidavit filed in support of this petition, this Criminal Original Petition stands allowed and leave is granted to the petitioner to prosecute the appeal.

3. Registry is directed to number the Criminal Appeal, if the papers are otherwise in order and post the main case "for admission".
