Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 19.06.2021 and consequently direct the respondents forbearing them from shifting the transformer in front of the petitioner's shop premises at no.129/1, Theradi Street, For Petitioner : Mr.A.K.Rajaraman For Respondents : Mr.A.Selvendran, GA for RR1 Mr.L.Jaivenkatesh for RR2 to 5.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 19.06.2021 and consequently direct the respondents forbearing them from shifting the transformer in front of the petitioner's shop premises at no.129/1, Theradi Street, 2.The case of the petitioner is that the respondent authorities are attempted to shift the existing transformer from the present location to the proposed location in front of the petitioner's shop premises without any reason and with an intention to sub-serve the vested interest of some individuals. In this regard, the petitioner made a representation dated 19.06.2021 to the second respondent objecting the aforesaid action of the respondent officials. However, no action is forthcoming by the respondents. Hence, the present Writ Petition has been filed.

3.Heard Mr.A.K.Rajaraman, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Government Advocate appearing for the first respondent and Mr.L.Jaivenkatesh, learned counsel appearing for the respondents 2 to 5.

In view of the submissions made and also considering the limited prayer made by the petitioner, without expressing any opinion, this Courts directs the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 19.06.2021 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of two (2) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, if necessary after providing an opportunity of fair and effective hearing to the parties concerned.

5.The Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
