By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.
The petitioner claims that he along with his family members are in joint possession and enjoyment of Grama Natham land in S.F.No.465/1, Kottari Village, Kullam Taluk, Perambalur District, admeasuring to an extent of 0010 cents and the petitioner was allotted with a house site during the year 2000 vide proceedings of the 3rd respondent in HSD No.351/1409 dated 29.05.2000. The petitioner claims to be in possession for more than 40 years. The petitioner has https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
submitted an application/representation dated 21.01.2016 to the respondents 1 and 2, praying for issuance of patta and since no orders have been passed, the petitioner is constrained to approach this Court, by filing the present writ petition.
Heard the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner ; Mr.R.Vijayakumar, learned Additional Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.
Though the petitioner has prayed for a larger relief, this Court, in the light of the above facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the same, directs the 2nd respondent to dispose of the petitioner's application / representation dated 21.01.2016 on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner. The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
