O R D E R

The petitioner, challenging the impugned order of transfer passed by the first respondent dated 19.05.2021 and the consequential relieving order passed by the second respondent dated 01.06.2021, has filed the present writ petition.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was transferred from Villupuram Divisional Office to Ranipet Divisional Officer for administrative reasons and now the Villupuram Divisional Office has merged with Ranipet Divisional Office and therefore, nothing survives for further adjudication in this writ petition. The said fact has not been disputed by the learned Standing Counsel for the respondents.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that the petitioner was not allowed to join duty. However, learned Standing Counsel for the respondents submits that if the petitioner is willing to join duty, he can very well do so.

4. Recording the aforesaid submission made by the parties, the writ petition stands dismissed as infructuous. However, if the petitioner is being aggrieved, it is open to him to approach the authorities concerned for appropriate remedy. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is also dismissed.
