ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking for a limited relief.

2. The petitioner was issued appointment order dated 17.02.2016, under which, he was appointed as Scavenger by the Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare Department. The petitioner claims that he has been prevented from joining duty by the second respondent.

3. The same is denied by the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, on instructions.

4. The petitioner has given a representation on 17.04.2018 requesting the respondents to permit the petitioner to join duty as per the appointment order dated 17.02.2016 issued in his favour by the Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare Officer, Salem District. Since the representation has not been considered till date, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.

5. No prejudice would be caused to the respondents if the petitioner's representation is considered on merits and in accordance with law within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

For the forgoing reasons, this Court directs the respondents to pass final orders on the petitioner's representation dated 17.04.2018, requesting the respondents to permit the petitioner to work as per the appointment order dated 17.02.2016 issued by Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare Officer, Salem District, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the aforesaid direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
